Our 4-Blade Wooden Propeller is fantastic airplane décor, and ideal for an aviation themed room, pilot’s man cave, or airplane hangar. Three and four blade propellers were needed as airplane engines became more powerful during WW II. Two blade props were not practical as they would have to be so long that they would scape the ground. Single engine aircraft like the powerful P-51 Mustang, and some F4U Corsairs were outfitted with 4-blade propellers.
This decorative wood airplane propeller is crafted from solid pine wood which is sustainably grown, and harvested. The propeller blades are finished in a distressed medium brown color with a black stripe, and a cream colored tip on each blade. One blade displays the winged Sensenich logo from the early days of aviation. Hanging hardware is included, and minor assembly is required.
