This A-10 Thunderbolt II airplane is a replica wood scale model of the original USAF A-10A aircraft manufactured by Fairchild Republic. The A-10 Thunderbolt II was nicknamed warthog or hog. It is a single seat aircraft with twin turbofan engines, and was the only USAF airplane built for CAS (close air support). Ultimately 716 planes A-10s were built.
