The Comm 1 IFR Radio Simulator helps master IFR communications. The Comm I IFR Radio Simulator is designed for the pilot working toward their instrument rating and for the already rated instrument pilot looking to brush up on their radio management. During a flight under instrument conditions a pilot does not want to be at a loss for correct phraseology. This is especially true when things are busy in the cockpit and the pilot needs to focus on making a correct approach. The IFR Radio Simulator works on both Windows-based and Macintosh computers. The software program, on CD-ROM, meets the requirements for AIM approved radio phraseology and has been reviewed by the FAA for accuracy.
The IFR Radio Simulator has over nine hours of interactive communication training. As the user becomes more advanced they can interact with rapid-fire ATC exchanges. The oral practice and interaction with ATC maximizes memory retention and shortens the learning curve. The lessons include:
