This E 3A Sentry AWACS Airplane is a replica wood scale model of the original E-3A Sentry USAF aircraft manufactured by Boeing. The E-3A Sentry AWACS is an Airborne Warning And Control System that provides weather surveillance, command, control, and communications to the US, UK, France, NATO and other allied air defense forces. Built from a modified Boeing 707-320 aircraft, the E 3 flew from 1977 to 1992, and ultimately 68 aircraft were manufactured.
