Our TBF Avenger Airplane is a replica scale model of the original aircraft manufactured by Grumman Aircraft. The TBF Avenger was a carrier-based torpedo bomber produced for the USN and USMC, and it was one of the heaviest single engine aircraft flown in WW II. The Avenger saw its first action at the Battle of Midway. Even though 5 out of 6 aircraft were destroyed during the battle it proved to be one of the most effective torpedo bombers during the war. Ultimately 9,839 TBF Avenger aircraft were produced.
