Built by Consolidated Aircraft it was often referred to as the cat, and it was the most widely used anti-submarine seaplane during WW II. The Catalina patrol bomber airplane was used all the way into the 1980s. This wall print of the PBY Catalina displays markings from early in the war in the North Atlantic seeking to destroy a German type VII B-Boat. The original painting is on display at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.
