In June of 1965 all eyes were on the TV as NASA launched its 2nd manned spacecraft, the Gemini IV. Astronauts James McDivitt and Edward White circled the Earth 66 times in 4-days to test the effects of sustained flight in space on the human body. The crew of the Gemini IV also had another first. Edward White was the
first to travel or “spacewalk” outside the capsule for 20 minutes.
This scale model of the Gemini IV Capsule shows exquisite detail. The exterior is crafted from pressure cast composite resin allowing each model to display each facet of the capsule. The hatch door is actually removable permitting one to view the capsule’s interior. Careful detail is taken to keep all parts to scale making this spacecraft an extraordinary collectible gift.
Model scale is 1/25, with about a 4 ˝ inch height and 4 inch width. Free shipping offer on this exquisite scale model is for ground service in the continental U.S.
