This beauty of a model plane is of the American MD-11 aircraft originally developed by McDonnell Douglas. The MD-11 is a wide-body trijet. The first flight was in 1988 and Boeing retired the aircraft from production in 2000. Ultimately 200 of the MD-11 airplane were built.
