B-25B Mitchell Model | Piloted by Doolittle

This is the plane that lead one of the most audacious missions in aviation history. The B-25B Mitchells were launched from the USS Hornet and targeted Japan just four months after the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. There were 16 in total for this one way mission called the "Tokyo Raid" .

This is the model of Doolittle's aircraft which lead the mission. His co-pilot, Lt. Col Dick Cole was the last living Raider until he passed in April 2019. Read more about the mission at "Last Doolittle Pilot"
