The High Flight Throw or blanket features the popular High Flight Poem. This airplane throw has the High Flight poem which was penned by John Gillespie Magee Jr.; a poet and aviator. John was an Anglo-American flying for the Royal Canadian Air Force as America had not yet entered the war. The poem was written just month's prior to his death from a mid-air collision in England.

The poem reads: "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things you have not dreamed of, wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wing along, and flung my eager craft through the footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace, where never lark, or even eagle flew- and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God."

The 100% cotton throw is 3-ply and measures about 48" by 60". The airplanes included on the throw are the Stinson Voyager, Beech Bonanza, Cessna 195, Cessna 310, Cessna 130, Cessna 337, Mooney M20, and Piper Cherokee. The High Flight Aviation Throw is so attractive it also makes a wonderful tapestry for hanging on a wall.
