The tandem two seat, twin engine F-4E Phantom II was developed for the US Navy for McDonnell Douglas and had its first flight in 1958. We love how they continued the P-40 Tiger Shark nose are in this jet. The F4 Phantoms were the only aircraft used by both US demonstration teams the Thunderbirds used the 4E and the Blue Angels used the F-NJ. The aircraft has most recently been in service against the Islamic State group in the Middle East.
