This P-51 Mustang model aircraft is a scale replica of the original North American P-51D Mustang aircraft piloted by the Tuskegee Airmen. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American military aviators. They flew in the 332nd fighter group for the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II. These airmen faced discrimination in the U.S. as “Jim Crow” laws were still prevalent in the South.
Our Tuskegee Airman P-51Mustang model arrives completely assembled and has an attractive base for aircraft display. This authentic, extraordinary replica of the original aircraft has been faithfully reproduced with mahogany wood. Each model is meticulously crafted and painted following exact blueprint details of the original airplane. The end result is a handsome, collectible sculpture to be admired and enjoyed.
